It's safe to say Fatboy Slim has had an incredible career! Real name Norman Cook, the DJ and producer is responsible for gifting us legendary tracks such as 'Praise You' and 'Right Here, Right Now'.

Fatboy Slim - 'The Rockafeller Skank'

Often known as ‘Funk Soul Brother’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’ was the lead single from ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby’ and was released in June 1998. The song reached Number 6 on the UK Singles Chart and Number 2 on the UK Dance Chart and is certified Platinum.

Fatboy Slim - 'Praise You'

‘Praise You’ was released in January 1999 as the third single from Fatboy Slim’s second studio album ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby.’ The song uses six samples in total, with the main one coming from the opening of ‘Take Yo’ Praise’ by Camille Yarbrough, in addition to a guitar sample from the Disney song ‘It’s A Small World.’

‘Praise You’ was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 2000 Grammy Awards, losing out to ‘Believe’ by Cher. ‘Praise You’ reached Number 1 on the UK Singles and UK Dance Charts. The song is certified Platinum in the UK.

In April 2023, Rita Ora and Fatboy Slim released ‘Praising You’ - a re-worked version of ‘Praise You.’

Fatboy Slim - 'Right Here, Right Now'

Released in April 1999, ‘Right Here, Right Now’ was the fourth single from ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby.’ The song reached Number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and is certified Platinum.

Fatboy Slim - 'Sunset (Bird of Prey)'

'Sunset (Bird of Prey)' was released in October 2000 and is from Fatboy Slim's album 'Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars.' It samples Jim Morrison's vocals from the song 'Bird of Prey' by The Doors.

The song reached Number 9 on the UK Singles Chart.

Fatboy Slim - 'Weapon of Choice' featuring Bootsy Collins

'Weapon of Choice' was released as a double A-side single with 'Star 69' in April 2001. The song features on Fatboy Slim's third studio album 'Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars' and reached Number 10 on the UK Singles Chart.

American funk singer, guitarist and producer Bootsy Collins features on the song. The music video for 'Weapon of Choice' was filmed in Los Angeles, and sees actor Christopher Walken dancing around the lobby of a hotel. The video won the award for Best Music Video at the 2002 Grammy Awards.

Fatboy Slim and Riva Starr - 'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat' featuring Beardyman

A huge tune, 'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat' was released in June 2013, featuring vocals from musician and comedian Beardyman. A Calvin Harris remix of the song was later released in October 2013.

'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat' reached Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart, which made it Fatboy Slim's first UK Top 10 song since the double A-side single 'Star 69' / 'Weapon of Choice' in 2001. It is certified Silver in the UK.

6 brilliant songs you may not know were by Fatboy Slim

The Housemartins - 'Caravan of Love'

Norman Cook was a bassist for The Housemartins, an indie rock band which was formed by Paul Heaton and Stan Cullimore. The band released the a cappella song 'Caravan of Love' in December 1986, which reached Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart and is certified Gold.

'Caravan of Love' was originally recorded by Isley-Jasper-Isley in 1985.

Beats International - 'Dub Be Good To Me'

Beats International was a dance band and hip-hop collective founded by Norman Cook, which also included singers Lindy Layron and Lester Noel, keyboard player Andy Boucher and rappers DJ Baptiste (The Crazy MC) and MC Wildski.

'Dub Be Good To Me' was released in January 1990 and was the first single from the group's debut album, 'Let Them Eat Bingo.' Norman wrote the song, which was named after the 1983 song by The SOS Band called 'Just Be Good To Me.' The song topped the UK Singles Chart and is certified Gold.

Pizzaman - 'Trippin On Sunshine'

Pizzaman were an electronic music duo made up of Norman Cook and John Reid. 'Trippin On Sunshine' was the duo's debut single, which was released in October 1994 . The song featured on their album 'Pizzamania'.

When the song was released, it initially charted at Number 33, but it was later re-released in 1996 thanks to Pizzaman's success, when it reached Number 18.

Cornershop - 'Brimful of Asha' (Norman Cook remix)

'Brimful of Asha' was released in August 1997 by the indie rock band Cornershop. Norman Cook was asked to remix the track, which then hit Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1998.

The remix samples Dave Pike Set's 'Raga Jeeva Swara' and The Monkees' 'Mary, Mary.'

Wildchild - 'Renegade Master' (Fatboy Slim remix)

'Renegade Master' was originally released by the DJ and producer Wildchid in 1995. Fatboy Slim remixed the song and released it in January 1998, with the title 'Renegade Master '98'.

The remix reached Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart and is certified Gold.

Groove Armada - 'I See You Baby' (Fatboy Slim remix) featuring Gram'ma Funk

'I See You Baby' was originally released in November 1999, by electronic music duo Groove Armada, featuring vocals from Gram'ma Funk.

Fatboy Slim remixed the song, with the remix released in September 2004. The remix reached Number 11 on the UK Singles Chart, with the song certified Silver in the UK.

R&B singer Ne-Yo has had an incredible career, giving us huge hits including 'Closer', 'Miss Independent' and featuring on Pitbull's smash hit 'Give Me Everything'.
Ne-Yo released his debut single 'Stay' featuring Peedi Peedi back in 2005, but it was his second single 'So Sick', released in 2006, which was his breakthrough. Ne-Yo has won three Grammy Awards throughout his career, in addition to achieving five UK Number 1 singles.

In July 2022, he released his ninth studio album 'Self Explanatory'. In June 2023, he delighted fans when he entered the Love Island villa to deliver an epic performance for the Islanders.


There was even more great news for fans, as in November 2023, the 'Because of You' hitmaker announced a UK tour, commencing in March 2024 at the AO Arena in Manchester. The 'Champagne and Roses' tour will also see Ne-Yo visit Leeds, Cardiff, Newcastle and London, before concluding in Birmingham.
What's more, Ne-Yo will be supported by 'Let Me Love You' singer Mario at all of the UK dates.

American singer Mario achieved huge success thanks to songs including 'Let Me Love You', 'How Do I Breathe' and 'Just A Friend 2002', as well as appearing in films including Step Up and TV shows such as Empire.
After signing his first record deal at the age of just 14, Mario went on to release his self-titled debut album in 2002. Mario achieved huge success with 'Let Me Love You', which was released in 2004 and saw the singer nominated for the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, losing out to John Legend's 'Ordinary People'.

In November 2023, it was announced that Mario will be supporting Ne-Yo on his UK tour, which is taking place in March 2024. Ne-Yo wrote Mario's huge track 'Let Me Love You'.

50 Cent

Rapper 50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won an array of awards, including a Grammy Award a Primetime Emmy Award.
In 2002, he released his official debut mixtape 'Guess Who's Back?', leading him to be discovered by Eminem and signed to his label Shady Records. 50 Cent's 2003 album then produced massive hits such as 'In Da Club' and '21 Questions'.

In 2023, the hip-hop icon embarked on his highly-anticipated 'The Final Lap Tour', adding extra UK dates due to popular demand. 50 Cent visited cities including Glasgow, Manchester and London on the tour, joined by Busta Rhymes and special guest Jeremih.

Busta Rhymes has released 10 albums throughout his career, gifting us with tracks including 'I Know What You Want', 'Touch It' and teaming up with The Pussycat Dolls on 'Don't Cha.'
In total, Busta Rhymes has been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards throughout his career.

In 2023, Busta Rhymes supported 50 Cent on his 'The Final Lap Tour'. In November 2023, Busta Rhymes delighted fans in Newcastle by taking over a bar in the city centre, fresh from supporting 50 Cent.

Legendary rapper and actor Snoop Dogg has sold an incredible 35 million albums worldwide. Back in 1992, Snoop Dogg featured on Dr Dre's debut solo single 'Deep Cover.'
Snoop Dogg then went on to release his debut solo album 'Doggystyle' in 1993, with the album produced by Dr Dre and producing singles including 'What's My Name?' and 'Gin and Juice'.

In March 2023, Snoop Dogg came to the UK on his rescheduled 'I Wanna Thank Me' tour. The name of the tour is also the name of his 17th studio album, which was released in August 2019. The rapper stopped off at Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow, London, Leeds and Birmingham on the tour.

Ice Cube

Hip hop star Ice Cube is known for his success as a solo artist as well as a member of the group N.W.A, which saw him be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Real name O'Shea Jackson, he has also appeared in an array of films including 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street and Ride Along.
