If you're a dog owner you'll be aware of just how much we love our four-legged friends as a nation! Whether you've chosen to buy a rescue dog or opted for a new puppy, it can be a huge task to pick name, that of course the whole family agrees on!
Well, pet site Rover.com have now conducted research into the most popular dog names of 2023, and there's been a little change since last year.
The most popular dog names of 2023:
10) Charlie
9) Bailey
8) Buddy
7) Coco
6) Poppy
5) Lola
4) Teddy
3) Milo
2) Bella
1) Luna
Although they didn't quite make the top 10, a lot of people have been inspired by films over the last 12 months when picking their dog's name. Names from films such as Barbie, The Little Mermaid and Elemental have all seen a rise, with the name Barbie itself being up a huge 1079%.
According the research carried out by Rover.com, TV shows also have been a huge influence in deciding names, with names from Love Island, MAFS, Wednesday and Succession seeing either a rise or a decline over the last 12 months.
As always, sports stars, politicians and members of the Royal family have also inspired dog owners this year.
