XL Bully dog owner in court after teenager injured in Tameside
Philip Whiteside appeared at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday
A man has appeared in court accused of owning an XL bully which injured a teenager in Tameside, Greater Manchester.
Philip Whiteside denied a single charge of having his dog, named Hercules, dangerously out of control and causing injury on December 17 last year.
The 32-year-old defendant, from Hope Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, appeared for a brief hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester on Monday.
Judge Mark Savill granted Whiteside unconditional bail and adjourned the case for a further hearing on April 1 next year ahead of a trial on July 9 2025.
