Swindon man appears in court charged with stalking MP

A man from Swindon has appeared in court in connection with a charge of stalking one of the town's MPs.
Justin Tomlinson - who represents the North Swindon constituency - is said to have received numerous threatening and abusive emails from Feras Al-Jayoosi.
36-year-old Feras, who is from the Rodbourne area of the town was arrested by counter-terrorism officers ahead of his appearance at Swindon magistrates' court on Saturday (November 25th).
As well as sending multiple threatening communications to the MP, Al-Jayoosi is also accused of criminal damage.
After appearing in court on Saturday, he remains in police custody and will continue to be until a second hearing takes place next week.
A statement from Wiltshire Police released on Friday gave initial outlines on the case so far.
The release read: "Feras Al-Jayoosi, 36, from Rodbourne, Swindon, was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South West on 23 November on suspicion of harassment against a Wiltshire-based MP and criminal damage.
"Today (November 24th) he has been charged with offences of stalking and criminal damage. Al-Jayoosi is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court tomorrow."
