Body found in hunt for missing swimmer in Essex
Police made the discovery in Jaywick, near Clacton this morning
The body of a man discovered in Essex this morning is believed to be that of a 21 year old who went missing in the water off Clacton Pier.
Police launched a large scale search and rescue operation after a group of six people got into difficulty in the water shortly before 11am on Tuesday.
Five were safely brought to shore, with a 21 year old man remaining missing until earlier today.
Formal identification is yet to take place after a body was found at nearby Jaywick.
Essex Police says its talking to 'international partners' in an effort to contact the man's family.
