North West Motorway Police have stopped a man who was driving his van, while eating a meal on a plate on his lap, with a knife and fork!
He was spotted yesterday on the M53 northbound in Wirral, and was pulled over and issued with a Traffic Offence Report. The man was also found not to be wearing a seat belt.
A tweet from the North West Motorway Police said "M53 northbound earlier today van seen wandering from lane to lane.
"Patrol pulled vehicle over found that the driver was actually eating a plated meal with knife and fork - plate balanced on his knee! Male also not wearing his seat belt - issued with TOR's."

It prompted a number of comments in reply including "You couldn't make it up", "Unbelievable", and one comment from a man who had seen it all before "Thought I'd seen it all when I saw a woman eating a McFlurry whilst driving. Spoon in one hand, ice cream in the other, steering with her knees!"
