Remember, not long ago, there was much excitement when the iPhone space bar trick was 'discovered'? Twitter was sent into overdrive, and iPhone users were left wondering why they hadn't found out this fancy feature years before.

Now, another iPhone function has been noticed and once again it's sending fans wild. As revealed by Twitter user Arnold, it's possible to listen in to conversations using your iPhone (or iPad/iPod) as a microphone and your Airpods as a receiver.

Arnold continued to explain in another tweet, 'It also works as a walky talky as well if you turn it on & give someone the other AirPod, idk tho haven’t tried it just fyi🤧😂'. sic

Since posting the tweet yesterday (9th January), it's had an incredible 83K likes with over 25K people commenting on the revelation, with many wondering what they can listen in on!

That's right, if your iPhone is running the latest iOS and connected to some Airpods, then, you can use it to listen to other conversations, or potentially as a walkie talkie. According to Apple's website, this is how you can use the Live Listen function.

Add Live Listen to Control Center

  1. To use Live Listen, you need to add it to Control Center:
  2. Go to Settings > Control Center.
  3. Tap Customize Controls.
  4. Scroll down and tap add icon next to Hearing hearing icon.
  5. Tap Back to save the setting.

Use Live Listen

  1. Open Control Center.
  2. Tap hearing icon.
  3. Tap Live Listen.
  4. Place your device in front of the person that you want to hear. Make sure to adjust the volume on your device if you can't hear well enough.

Easy as that!
