Love Island viewers got to see a different side to Geordie personal trainer Adam Collard earlier this week when Zara McDermott was dumped from the villa. After admitting he doesn't think he will meet anyone else like Zara, he even contemplated leaving with her.

Before Zara entered the villa as a late arrival, viewers quickly became aware of his lothario ways when he dumped Kendall in favour of Rosie, and then proceeded to treat Rosie in the same way when Zara arrived.

Well now, after returning to the UK, Zara has been showing off the cute little gift Adam left in her suitcase. As well as an adorable note from her newfound best friend Ellie Brown, Zara took to her Instagram Story to explain that Adam had put some of her favourite cookies into her case without her knowing. She wrote, 'I opened my case to find this secret note that Ellie wrote for me... And also Adam put my favourite cookies in too'. sic

Meanwhile, after striking up a friendship with Ellie, it looks like the pair could be friends for life if Ellie's note means anything. Using eyeliner to write on a piece of toilet roll, Ellie wrote, 'Love you so much. Miss you so much. Love Ellie, wait for me'. sic

After dumping both Kendall and Rosie, Adam seemed very happy with 21-year-old Zara - that was until she was harshly dumped earlier this week.

After gaining the least public votes, both Adam and Zara were at risk of leaving the villa, with the boys deciding to send Zara home instead of Megan and Ellie.

Zara later took to her Instagram account to explain leaving Adam was 'one of the hardest things'. She wrote, 'Leaving Adam in the villa was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do... he is so wonderful and I hope that everyone can now see that. The bond we built in the villa was something I never expected and so different to anything I have ever experienced before. Whether he chooses to stay or leave is completely his decision; I support him no matter what he does, and I will always be ready to welcome him home 😘 As much as I didn’t want to leave without him, I know that this experience is once in a lifetime and I’d never want to take that away from him. Thank you guys for all your love, it means the world to me especially now that I am out in the big wide world on my own! These past few days have been hard, but thank you guys again for everything ❤️' sic

Meanwhile, after the 12 new Islanders entered the villas last night, the drama is set to heat up on tonight's show, with the first look preview showing Jack kissing one of the new girls.

Love Island continues on ITV2 AT 9pm.
