Perri Kiely finishes second on Dancing On Ice - but he's a winner in our eyes

We had absolutely no doubt about the fact that KISS presenter Perri Kiely was an absolute BOSS on the dance floor, he is in dance troupe Diversity alongside co-host Jordan Banjo after all, but Perri has shown how amazing he is on Dancing On Ice. 🙌
Perri, who was partnered with the lovely Vanessa Bauer for the 2020 series, might have missed out on the trophy to Joe Swash but he's still a winner in our eyes, so here's a recap of tonight's final...
Perri's first skate was a high-tempo dance battle, that incorporated breakdancing moves into his routine and to top it off he even LANDED A BACKFLIP, something no Dancing On Ice contestant has ever done! Well worthy of a perfect 40 out of 40.
For their second skate Perri and Vanessa turned up the heat as they danced to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's 'Señorita', making the lifts look effortless. Another 40 and a tease that ice might be incorporated into future Diversity performances!
Then it was time for Perri and Vanessa's take on Torvill and Dean's Boléro routine. The intense, flawless skate saw Perri receive high praise with Christopher Dean calling the skate "the BEST Boléro we have ever seen!"

Despite this, it was Joe Swash who took home the trophy, after Philip Schofield revealed the vote was incredibly close. Perri has been around the top of the leader board since week one, with the KISS Saturday Breakfast presenter becoming the first celeb of the series to score the perfect 40/40 in last weekend's semi-final.
Giving the most perfect routine to 'The Balcony Scene' from Romeo and Juliet, Perri got a little emotional following the judges' scores, saying, "I know that this song is not personal to just me, it represents so much for so many people. This is an achievement of my own, and I'm so happy to be able to bring it here.
"Vanessa has been great and I'm just grateful for everything."
