The biggest recoupling of the series is due to take place on Love Island this evening, and with a teaser released on Love Island: Aftersun last night showing Wes returning to the main villa alone, fans thought he could be in for a dumping.

The clip, which aired after the ITV2 show last night, shows Megan choosing to couple up with new boy Alex, with Wes then returning without one of the new girls, leaving fans wondering what it would mean for his Love Island fate.

However, as pointed out by a number of eagle-eyed fans on Twitter, Wes is still actually coupled up with Laura Anderson, not Megan. Therefore his fate in the villa will most likely be determined by her decision.

Despite getting on well with Laura since day one, Wes' head was turned last week when Megan expressed interest in him. After ending things with Laura, Wes and Megan decided to pursue a romance, with the couple enjoying a number of steamy kisses in front of Laura.

HOWEVER, bosses then dropped a massive bombshell when six new boys and six new girls entered the show at the end of last week. As Wes was sent to Casa Amor with the rest of the boys, Megan got to know the new boys in the original villa and on last night's show she seemed very happy with new boy Alex.

But it turns out Wes' feelings for Megan were a lot stronger as it looks as if he's stayed loyal to her and not got with any of the new girls.

Meanwhile, after he well and truly pied Laura in favour of Megan, it looks like 20-year-old Wes could be getting a taste of his own medicine on tonight's show. As well as Megan seemingly recoupling, Laura has also been getting close to new boy Jack, with the pair enjoying a kiss last night.

Anybody else beyond excited for tonight's show?!

Just like previous years, it seems Love Island fever is sweeping the nation as the show broke more records during last night's episode.

Sunday night's 9pm show achieved a massive 3.2 million viewers, ITV2's highest audience ever! The show, which showed Dani Dyer breaking down in tears after seeing a video of Jack reunited with his ex-girlfriend, peaked with 3.7 million viewers.

Now see which Love Island couples are still together from series one, two and three:

Series One: Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison

The only surviving couple from Love Island series one is Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison.

After finding love on the show, Cally and Luis announced they were expecting their first child together and later welcomed their daughter Vienna Morrison-Beech.
