After an amazing few weeks in the Love Island villa, Indiyah Polack has now returned to the UK and joined us on KISS Fresh with boyfriend Dami Hope and fellow Islander Andrew Le Page. While speaking to presenter Henrie, Indiyah opened up about her time in the villa and some of the doubts she had beforehand.

Indiyah was one of the original Islanders of the 2022 series, and speaking about how she was feeling before she went into the villa, she said: "There wasn't a time in the villa where I felt unwanted, or I couldn't connect with anybody.

"Even before going on the show, I did have those thoughts. I was thinking 'what if I'm one of those girls that doesn't find love, that doesn't find friends and it's just a sh-t ride?'"

Reflecting on the experience she ended up having on Love Island, Indiyah added: "I didn't have that and I'm really glad that there was friends and people that I could get to know that could kind of relate to me and people that I could understand and connect with.

"It was nice. It was honestly so good. I didn't expect my journey to be as good as it was, so I'm very grateful for that."

Indiyah did in fact find love during the experience and chose to couple up with Dami, and they made it to the Love Island final, finishing in third place.

After originally being coupled up with other people, Indiyah and Dami's feelings for each other grew and they chose to couple up in the fourth recoupling. Things hit a rocky patch after Casa Amor, which left the two coupled up with other people once again.

They couldn't stay angry for long and realised how strong their feelings were for each other, so they got back together at the next recoupling and took on the ship name Damiyah.

While chatting to Henrie, the pair also addressed how their ship name came about, and whether it should have been Damiyah or Indami. Indiyah explained: "You know we went on our first date, and I got the text and it said 'Damiyah' and I was even like, 'people have a name for us?'"

Dami added: "We thought the public made that name for us like Twitter said Damiyah. But you know what, towards the end, I said to her 'Indami'."
