Love Island stars will be able to watch England in the Euros final

They won't miss out!

As fans will know, the general rule in Love Island is that the Islanders are locked away from the outside world with no contact with loved-ones, or any information about what is going on back in the 'real world'.

However, it sounds like bosses are about to bend the rules a little this weekend, as England men's team attempt to make history by winning their first major tournament on foreign soil, taking on a strong Spain team.

Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and co will take on Spain during the Euro 2024 final in Berlin, with the game kicking off at 8pm, and it sounds like the Islanders are in for a treat.

A spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Confirming we will be doing something around the euros for Sunday, the Islanders will be watching. It’s likely there will be a nod to it in the show or Aftersun at some point either Sunday or Monday. More details to follow.’

It's unclear at this stage if the Islanders are aware of the plans, or if they even know that Gareth Southgate's Three Lions have made it to their second successive final. However, as new bombshells are still arriving, we imagine the current Islanders will be asking the all-important questions.

Check out the rules each Islander must follow in the villa:

No getting drunk

According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.
Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.

No masturbating

No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.

No nudity

Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.

No books, phones or magazines

The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.
Same goes for books and magazines, too.

No inappropriate language or behaviour

This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.

No discriminating against staff

Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.

Follow the rule book

Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.

Lolly chose to date Joey Essex, Konnor Ewudzi and Ciaran Davies in The Hideaway, much to the annoyance of Jessy Potts and Nicole Samuel.

Speaking to Joey on the date, Lolly said: “I think your personality and my personality would go together to a tee, but I have got something to say… you’ve kinda gone back in your shell a little bit from the beginning, please correct me if I’m wrong. I feel like you’re jokey, laughy and fun but since you’ve been with Jessy, she’s a gorgeous, gorgeous girl, she’s naturally beautiful but I don’t know if there’s something missing between you both…”

With Lolly set to enter the main villa and meet the rest of the Islanders on tonight's (Friday 12th July) show, drama could be rife.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
