We are almost one month into this year's series of Love Island and the nation is gripped once again! Whether it's Adam Collard's age, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer's love story, or everybody feeling sorry for Dr Alex George, it's fair to say there has already been a LOT of talking points.

But whilst you sit in front of your TV screens patiently awaiting the next episode, we've found some facts and secrets about the popular dating show. After a celebrity edition in 2005 and 2006, Love Island returned to ITV2 in 2015, but this time it would involve 'normal' people and not celebrities. The first series of Love Island saw the likes of Cally Jane Beech, Jon Clark and Luis Morrison all appear.

After the success, Love Island was again renewed for a second series, with the nation falling in love with the likes of Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde, Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland, and Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott. But it was perhaps the third series in 2017 that really got people talking, Love Island fever swept the nation, with Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies winning the £50,000 prize money.

However, the pair split not long after!
