The popular show, which starred the likes of Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass), and You's very own Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey), give us serious vibes of how the privileged teens of Manhatten's Upper East Side lived.
And now, a massive seven years after viewers were left FLABBERGASTED that Dan Humphrey was in fact Gossip Girl, CW President Mark Pedowitz has revealed the exciting news that they've been in talks for a reboot.
He told reporters, “There’s a discussion, but I don’t know if we’re there yet. I don’t know what it would be. A lot is up to Warner Bros. and exec producers Josh Schwartz and Steph Savage, ’cause you don’t want to do anything without them.”

Gossip Girl first hit out TV screens way back in 2007, running for a massive 121 episodes over six different series.
Of course, this isn't the first time rumours of a reboot have been swirling. Back in 2017, Blake Lively spoke to Variety, revealing she likes the idea of doing a 'grown-up' version of Gossip Girl.
She told the publication, "It sort of all depends. Would I do seven years of the show? No, because it's hard work and I've got my babies, and I don't want to be away from them that much. But I've just learned in life you never say never. I'm looking to do something that I haven't done yet, not something that I did. But would I do that? Who knows—if it was good, if it made sense. We had so much fun shooting and living and working in New York City. "
Although nothing has been confirmed, and Mark Pedowitz didn't actually confirm whether the show would feature a whole NEW cast, we still can't help but get excited at the prospect of having Gossip Girl back in our lives!
XOXO, Gossip Girl. 😘
