Bosses searching for OAPs for new dating show 'Date My Nan'
Following the success of My Mum, Your Dad!
With the success of dating shows in recent years, ITV/STV launched a brand new series last year, featuring middle-aged singletons attempting to find love, after being nominated by their grown-up children.
As well as commissioning a second series of My Mum, Your Dad, which is due to land in September with host Davina McCall, ITV/STV bosses are now reporedely considering an OAP version of the show, called Date My Nan (working title).
A source told the TV Biz column: "The dates and possible love matches are brilliant but they're just part of Date My Nan.
"Producers know the gentle, emotional scenes as the older daters get ready with their loved one will lead to genuinely lovely, heartwarming content. On My Mum, Your Dad, viewers really rated the honest moments where the men opened up to each other, or widower Roger broke down in tears over his late wife's cancer.
"Viewers don't just want to see beautiful people pursue their lust any more - and 'Date My Nan' will have that depth."
According to reports, the show will follow senior citizens on a journey to find love, after they've been nominated by their children, grandchildren, friends, or neighbours to take part.
Despite the exciting reports, ITV/STV bosses are yet to confirm anything, or reveal any details about applications or air dates.

My Mum, Your Dad first launched last September, forming couples such as Roger and Janey, Paul and Natalie, and Elliot and Sharon.
Filmed at a luxury country house, viewers got the chance to follow the single parents as they attempted to find love, after being nominated by their children.
However, there was a major twist for the parents, as their children were watching in 'The Bunker', where they got the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad's fate.
Following the success of the first series, ITV/STV bosses were quick to commission the show for a second series, which is due to begin in September.
