Bridgerton boss teases season two with sneak peak

IT'S COMING

Author: Georgie HollandPublished 16th Jun 2021

Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen has taken to Twitter to share a sneak peak of the show's upcoming second season, even revealing what the title of the first episode will be. Sharing a photo of the front page of episode one's script, fans can see it will be called 'Capital R Rake'.

As avid Bridgerton fans will know, 'rake' was a phrase that cropped up multiple times during the first season of the Netflix show, referring to a some-what 'loveable scoundrel' - getting fans thinking that we may have a saucy premier episode on our hands.

Taking to Twitter, show writer and creator Chris wrote: '“Capital R Rake” 👀🐝Honeybee #Bridgerton #Season2 #ItsComing #ScriptsInTheWild 💜💫' (sic).

Clearly elated by the sneak peak at the series two, fans went crazy over the picture. One fan replied: 'AAAAAAAAAH 😍😍' (sic), whilst another wrote: 'thank you for sharing this Chris!!! We’re all so excited!!!!' (sic).

The cryptic title has gotten many fans thinking that the premier episode of season two may be on the saucier side, closing in on the use of the season one term 'rake'. Helping us all out with the Bridgerton slang, author Eva Devon has explained that the term means: "A fella who loves a very good time. Monogamy need not apply."

In a nutshell, it is thought to be an individual who has had a number of relationships, whilst potentially being uninterested in marriage... 👀.

Bridgerton season two was confirmed back in January, with later confirming in April that the show will also be getting two more seasons after that. Although the upcoming seasons will sadly miss Regé-Jean Page, who played the Duke of Hastings, we can expect Anthony and Eloise Bridgerton to shake things up.

We cannot wait to see what the show has in store for us all next! Although an official release date has not yet been given, fans can sleep easy knowing that filming has well and truly begun!
