Zayn Malik has recorded his first full song in Hindi (Urdu). The language, and writing is a Persianised and standardised Hindustani dialect.

The 25-year-old ex-One Direction singer - whose father is British Pakistani - has recorded a song with Grammy-winning Bollywood composer, Ar Rahman, that is expected to feature in a forthcoming film.

Speaking in an interview, Zayn said: ''It's one of the first songs I've sung in full Hindi, so it's going to be cool to see what the response to that is.

''There's definitely a lot of Urdu; some nice qawwali sounds. There might even be some bhangra vibes. I have worked with AR Rahman on one song.'

Zayn recently shared a preview of a new song about his girlfriend of two years, Gigi Hadid, being the only woman he needs. Cute!

He sings: ''She's all the woman I need'' whilst playing an acoustic guitar.

''I see you every night, always on my mind. Always on my mind / I know you are mine.''

This could be a follow up to his 2017 single 'Still Got Time'. However, he recently registered a new song called 'Hurt' - songwriter and producer BURNS has also been credited.

Recently Yolanda Hadid, mother of Gigi and Bella Hadid revealed there is no pressure on Zayn to pop the question to Gigi anytime soon.

''We'll see, I truly believe they're all on their own journey. It's not in my hands anymore so I'm just sitting back and letting it all unfold.''
