‘I want them all’ Kendrick Lamar talks GRAMMY Nominations
Kendrick’s pretty chuffed about his 11 GRAMMY Nominations and he’s got his eye on all of them.
Kendrick Lamar dominated the 2016 GRAMMY noms – notching up an impressive 11 nominations. Kendrick’s pretty chuffed to be nominated and he’s got his eye on all of them, saying to the New York Times ‘I want them all’.
Of his GRAMMY noms he also said ‘I wasn’t surprised. The GRAMMYs have taste. They’ve had taste for a long time. I’m just more excited that they recognize the time and effort into the project.’
In the interview, Kendrick also showed some love to Drake and Future saying of the year in music: ‘Future killed it. He smashed. Drake smashed it. Future’s work ethic was crazy, his energy.’
Kendrick also hinted we could hear some new music from him soon, saying ‘I’m just writing, writing, writing… I never take a break from my pen, because I pride myself on that.’
