It seems an all powerful girl squad, millions of albums sold, numerous awards and a superstar DJ boyfriend isn’t enough for Tay-Tay. She now wants to own some vocabulary.

The singer is attempting to trademark the phrase ‘Swiftmas’ as well as the name of her album ‘1989’. ‘Swiftmas’ is the word used to describe Taylor’s acts of generosity towards her fans.

She’s also put in an application to own ‘Blank Space’ and the lyrics from the song ‘and I’ll write your name’.

Earlier in the year, Taylor successfully trademarked the phrase ‘this sick beat’, which appears, in her hit ‘Shake It Off’.

If successful, the trademarks will stop companies using the phrases on clothes, stationery, in books and on other items.
