Taylor Swift has picked up a whopping 14 nominations for this year's Billboard Music Awards. Among the 13 categories in which Swift is nominated, she's up for Top Artist against One Direction, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith and Katy Perry. She's also a finalist for Top Social Artist against Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez. Keeping it social, Taylor thanked Billboard and sharing the news with fans on Twitter.
Sam Smith also took to social media to say thanks, describing it an 'unreal'.
The Billboard Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on May 17th and with Ludacris and supermodel Chrissy Teigen on hosting duties. In addition to this year's 40 chart-specific categories, fans will be able to choose who gets the Billboard chart achievement award by voting on the Billboard websites and via Twitter. Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social-media interactions -- measurements that are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of March 10, 2014, through March 8, 2015. Full list of finalists on the Billboard Music Awards website.
