Taylor Swift drops brand new track ‘Call It What You Want’

A week before her hugely anticipated new album ‘Reputation’ drops, Taylor Swift has shared even more new music from the album.

The singer teased the single yesterday on her socials, sharing the lyrics from the track “you don’t need to save me…But would you run away with me?” Shots are fired on the track, as Taylor sings “all the liars are calling me one”, is it just us feeling that’s a Kanye West and Kim Kardashian reference?! But Tay-Tay gets lovey dovey too, singing “I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck, not because he owns me. But because he really knows me.”

‘Call It What You Want’ is the fourth single Taylor’s shared off ‘Reputation’. She returned to music back in August with the massive ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, which got everyone talking. ‘Ready For It? followed, which Taylor shared the video for last week, which features her as a futuristic cyborg, and it apparently inspired by new film Blade Runner 2049 and Ghost in the Shell which starred Scarlett Johansson.

The video includes scenes of futuristic nudity.

‘Gorgeous’ followed, where Taylor’s back to what she does best, singing about boyfriends past and present. But Taylor’s fans are divided over whether the track is about Joe or Tom Hiddleston. In particular the line ‘I got a boyfriend, he’s older than us.’ Could be about when Taylor was dating Calvin Harris but was spotted dancing with Hiddleston at the Met Gala. Shortly after Taylor and Calvin split, Taylor was spotted kissing Tom. ‘In the club doing I don’t know what’ could also be referencing Harris’ career as a DJ.

Reputation is out on 10th November.
