Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha, following a court ruling on Friday that she cannot exit her recording contract with Sony Music and Dr Luke.
Kesha filled a lawsuit in September 2015 to attempt to exit her recording contract with Sony Music and her producer Dr Luke. But on Friday (19th February) a court denied her appeal.
After Friday’s ruling a host of musicians including Ariana Grande, Lorde, Alessia Cara, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azelea and Lily Allen came out to show their support for Kesha.
Taylor Swift has given the singer $250,000 ‘to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time.’ That's around £175,000.
