Adding another award to his huge pile already, last night Sam Smith's Stay With Me won 'Song of the Year' at the 2015 BMI London Awards.

The award is given to the previous year's most-performed or most-played record on US radio and television released by UK or European writers in the BMI catalogue, and in 2014 Stay With Me beat the likes of Take Me To Church by Hozier and all of Ed Sheeran's releases.

Other gongs given out at yesterday's award ceremony were the '2015 London Pop Award Songs', won by a selection of songs including Am I Wrong by Nico & Vinz, Blame by John Newman, Don't' by Ed Sheeran and, as if he hadn't won enough already, Sam Smith bagged four more awards for Stay With Me, I'm Not The Only One, Latch and his contribution to La La La by Naughty Boy.

After his James Bond theme song Writing's On The Wall hit the Number One spot at the start of the month, October's been a big month for the softly-spoken singer.
