Neon Jungle announce split
The girl group have announced that they are going their separate ways. Read their statement.
Neon Jungle have announced they are splitting up after only two years. The girl band told fans, in a statement, that they have decided that it’s time to continue their journeys individually, but stressed that they would ‘always and forever be in each other’s lives. The band, made up of Shereen Cutkelvin, Amira McCarthy, Jess Plummer and Asami Zdrenka, had four top 20 singles including Braveheart and Trouble. They also released an album in 2014 entitled Welcome to the Jungle.
Describing the news as both heartbreaking and exciting, they thanked fans for their support and asked that everyone continue their new journeys along with them as individuals.
> "Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten." This, from day 1, has been our mantra and always will be. > > We started our journey in an unknown, unnamed "girl band" just 2 years ago. Within that time, we went (rather quickly) from four strangers, to four complete best friends. From being unknown, to being recognised all over the world. From being unnamed to "Neon Jungle” But Neon Jungle is more than a four piece girl band. Neon Jungle are Ohana. Ohana - formed by all the love and support we have received over the past couple of years. > > Which is why writing this is extremely difficult. > > After many honest and heartfelt discussions, we have all agreed with a tremendously heavy heart, that it is time for us to continue our journeys individually. > > This does not mean for a second we have separated! We will always and forever be in each other's lives, and ALWAYS be supportive of one another. > > Although this is a heart breaking reality for the four of us, it is also extremely exciting, and we would love for all of you guys to also continue our new journeys with us. > > 4 for the price of 1 aye!?!? > > Ohana is forever > > Thank you so much for everything past, present and future. > > Yours very truly Jess, Asami, Shereen & Amira
