Naughty Boy unveils collab with Zayn Malik
Naughty Boy has debuted a collaboration called I Won't Mind, with former One Direction star, Zayn Malik.
UPDATE: Less than 12 hours after sharing the track, it has been removed from Soundcloud.
Naughty Boy has debuted a collaboration with former One Direction star Zayn Malik. The three minute demo is titled ‘I Won’t Mind’ and it made its debut on Soundcloud this morning. Listen below. The acoustic led song hinges on Zayn’s solo vocals before a beat kicks in right at the end. Zayn’s lyrics include: "When someone makes you the happiest person and the saddest person, at the same time, that's when it's real. That's when it's worth something."
Hinting at a 2016 release date, the accompanying caption says: "There is nothing but love for what was left behind. That's why we don't mind. ;) #zaughty #zinabad #2016.”
Naughty Boy unleashed the song at 3am this morning shortly after he got into a war of words with Zayn’s former band mate Louis Tomlinson on Twitter. Louis took exception after Naughty Boy retweeted a fan account called Naughty Boy/Zayn, which teased the track with a brief video clip and the caption “The Truth.” An angry Louis wrote: “Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you're so inconsiderate pal , seriously how f***ing old are you ? Grow up ! #masterofallwisdom.” Naughty Boy responded highlighting that it was an old tweet before Louis accused him of winding up the fans.
Later, Naughty Boy added: “when ur gettin hate for some thing u didn't do, a bit of love can go a long way, that's why I retweeted, time will tell the real story guys.”
Then just over an hour later, he shared the demo causing an explosion of excitement from fans!
UPDATE: perhaps the pressure from 1D fans led to the removal of the track from Soundcloud. Listen via the YouTube rip below while you can.
