EXCLUSIVE: Little Mix reveal why their TV show The Search is so 'special'
It's due to air in the Autumn!
Last updated 24th Jul 2020
Believe it or not it's been four months since Little Mix dropped 'Break Up Song', so we were HYPED to have Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall join Tyler on KISS Breakfast to chat about their amazing new single 'Holiday'.
The girls dialled in over a Zoom chat on Friday 24th July, and despite Jade being late to the party, they spilled the tea on their new single, their hugely-anticipated sixth album, and of course their brand new TV show, Little Mix: The Search.
Before the Coronavirus took over and the world went into lockdown, Little Mix were preparing for the launch of their very own TV show in the Spring, but after the show was forced to be postponed, it's now been confirmed it will air on BBC One in the Autumn, so we just had to ask the girls what fans can expect.
With Geordie comedian Chris Ramsay as host, it's no surprise the girls are super excited for it to land, and Leigh-Anne revealed just why she thinks it will be so special.
Speaking to Tyler, Leigh-Anne said, "This show, it's so special because it's so different. It's not your average talent show. The format is really cool, it's just something fresh!"
And when asked what sort of judges the girls will be, Jesy added, "We said when we made this show we want the best of the best. So we aren't just going to put people through because of the sob story. We are going to be very critical, but in a nice way. We are only looking for the best."
Of course, Little Mix themselves were shot to fame when they auditioned as solo artists on The X Factor, before being put into the band and then creating history by becoming the first ever group to win the show, so they certainly know what a great opportunity this is for the contestants.
Perrie added, "I feel like if you get such an amazing platform like that, the possibilities are endless after that. If you work hard there's no reason why you can't succeed after it. Whoever wins the competition comes on tour with us, it's like a massive opportunity, to perform in front of that many people it's just wild."
Earlier this week the girls dropped a brand new trailer for The Search, revealing fans can expect to the show to land in the Autumn.
The short clip shows Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade checking out the rather bright studio, as their hit single 'Move' plays in the background.
During the chat with Tyler, Little Mix also confirmed their hugely anticipated sixth studio album is finally finished, with Perrie exclaiming, "It's finished, it's ready to go!"
And despite shutting down some collab rumours, including Beyoncé, Kanye West and Niko B, it sounds like 'LM6' is still going to be full of bangers.
Jade said, "We didn't really think to much concept wise about what we wanted to write about and stuff, we just sort of let it all happen naturally. It's been quite, not easy, but it just hasn't been that stressful, which has been lovely."
However, despite Tyler trying his best to get some official collab confirmations, the Little Mix girls revealed they can't give any names away just yet, because they aren't 100% confirmed.
We tried! ðŸ˜
