Last week, Justin Bieber and Skrillex were hit with copyright claims over Biebs’ track ‘Sorry’.

American artist White Hinderland (real name Casey Dienel) filled a lawsuit against Justin and his song writers including Skrillex claiming that Biebs’ massive hit ‘Sorry’ samples her track ‘Ring The Bell’.

Casey posted on Facebook explaining her decision: “Justin Bieber’s song ‘Sorry’ copies the vocal riff prominently featured in my song ‘Ring the Bell.’ The writers, producers, and performers of ‘Sorry did not obtain a license for this exploitation of my work, nor did they obtain or seek my permission. Yesterday afternoon, I filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement against Justin Bieber and the other responsible parties.”

Now Biebs and Skrillex have addressed the claims: Skrillex posted a video on Twitter showing how they originally produced the song with the caption ‘SORRY but we didn’t steal this’. Biebs then re-tweeted the post adding #wedontsteal

Meanwhile, Diplo who has previously collaborated with the pair has spoken about the copyright claims. Speaking to TMZ, ‘I thought they sampled it, but I thought they cleared it. I’m sure they’ll work out a deal with her. They don’t want to go to court with it.’
