Sam Ryder and Eurovision winners Kalush Orchestra set for a collaboration 'soon'
UK Eurovision entry Sam Ryder came second
Last updated 28th Jun 2022
Since this year's Eurovision Song Contest ended with the UK's entry Sam Ryder getting a well-deserved second place to Ukraine's entry Kalush Orchestra, there have been many rumours circulating around the possibility of a collaboration between the top two acts.
Now, it seems that they aren't just rumours. The group, who won the competition with 631 points, to the UK's 466, performed at last weekend's Glastonbury as their first UK gig, and confirmed the exciting news to Metro.co.uk.
Oleg Psyuk, Kalush Orchestra's frontman confirmed: "(We) have already discussed this with him and we’re planning to release a music piece quite soon."
He continued: "We’re eager for everybody to listen to it."
And although he wouldn't reveal when we could hear it he said to keep tabs on their Instagram account: "It’s a secret but make sure to follow Kalush’s official Instagram, because that’s where all the updates will be released."
At the time of writing the band's most recent post is from London, when they were on their way to Glastonbury.
The band captioned their photos: 'Yo, today we perform at one of the world's largest festivals @glastofest . We will perform at the same event with @billieeilish and @kendricklamar Every day we visit a new city and a new country, but we always get the same feedback - "Boys from Ukraine performed the coolest." Next - more, this is just the beginning ...'.
Meanwhile, Sam Ryder has announced his largest ever UK tour will take next March, following the release of his album 'There's Nothing But Space, Man!' on 14th October 2022.
Sam shared a video to announce hits album and tour saying: "What's up legends? How's it going? I've got BIG NEWS! My debut album 'There's Nothing But Space, Man!' is released later this year and I'm also doing a massive tour."

Usually, the country who wins the contest gets the pleasure of hosting the competition the year after. However, due to the situation in Ukraine, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have officially confirmed that Ukraine will not be able to host the event, after Kalush Orchestra's win.
They have now announced that the EBU is now in discussions with the BBC, for the potential of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in the United Kingdom in 2023.
