Organisers of The BRIT Awards have said that David Bowie will be remembered at next month's awards ceremony.
A statement announced ‘a visionary and ground-breaking pioneer, he has inspired generations of musicians and will continue to shape music for many years to come.’
‘Naturally, we wish to honour his extraordinary life and work at the forthcoming BRIT Awards and pay a fitting tribute to one of our greatest icons.’
The 'Starman' singer won his most recent BRIT Award just two years ago for Best British Male after releasing his penultimate album 'The Next Day'.
'Blackstar' was the singer's 25th and final album released along with the video for his song 'Lazarus' on his 69th birthday, just days before he sadly passed away on the 10th January after an 18 month battle against cancer.
This year's BRIT Awards will take place at the O2 Arena in London on the 24th February and will be hosted by Ant and Dec with confirmed performances from Justin Bieber, Adele and Coldplay.
