Could Calvin Harris be about to remix a MASSIVE Spice Girls Christmas song?
What more could you want?
Rumours are that superstar DJ, Calvin Harris, will have to remix a huge Spice Girls Christmas song and we're really hoping he does. It all started when Calvin Harris and a fan made a bet five years ago.
According to Aussie, Filip Odzak, who tweeted recently he and the Scottish DJ made a pact that if same sex marriage was legalised in Australia, then he would remix the Spice Girls' Christmas song '2 Become 1'.
Earlier this week Australia did indeed legalise same-sex marriage, so Filip took the opportunity to remind Calvin of their bet! Taking to Twitter Filip posted message and a photo of him with the DJ.
The message read, 'During your apperance at Marquee in Sydney, while hanging backstage in the library bar, we made a deal - sealed with a hand shake - that you would remix Spice Girls "2 Become 1" when marriage equality was finally legalised in Australia.'
He then continued, 'Well it just happened today. For five years I've been waiting for this! I'm very excited to hear what you do with the iconic track to celebrate this momentous occasion.'
Ending it, 'A deal is a deal! Sincerely Filip.'
Filip's tweet has since been retweeted nearly 3,000 times and liked nearly 9,000 times. The tweet has also attracted a number of comments from fans who are really hoping to hear this remix, one just said, 'Please please please @CalvinHarris 🙏🙏🙏'.
Another commented with a gif saying 'Do it!'.
Whilst another user asked if it was too late to go for Christmas number one! We hope not!
Unfortunately at the time of writing Calvin Harris has yet to respond to this bizarre bet, but we really hope he does do a remix of the festive song. Although, it is very different from Calvin's hits such as 'Summer', 'My Way' and his most recent release 'Feels' earlier this year.
Here's a reminder of what the original sounds like.
Bring on Christmas!!!
