Beyonce releases ‘Mi Gente’ remix to raise funds for hurricane victims

Beyonce has released a remix of the massive hit ‘Mi Gente’ to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts.

Bey’s vocals now feature on the J Balvin and Willy William track which was originally released in June. On the track, bey sings ‘Lift up your people. From Texas, Puerto Rico, Dem’ Islands to Mexico’, as well as a lot of Spanish! Who knew Bey spoke Spanish?! Is there anything this lady can’t do?

Announcing the track on her Instagram, Beyonce wrote ‘I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands. To help go Beyonce.com/reliefefforts.

On her website, Beyonce writes ‘we’re heartbroken by the hurricanes and earthquakes that have devastated families around the world. There are many ways to help. We’ve listed a few organizations that are on the ground from Mexico to the Caribbean, lending a hand to those who need it most.’ Before detailing the charities she’s supporting.

It’s the first new music from the singer since she gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir Carter in June.

Beyonce is set to headline a hurricane relief concert in Brooklyn next month, also on the bill is hubby Jay-Z.
