Beyoncé accused of 'stealing' Hold Up video idea
Some people ain't too happy with Queen Bey.
Beyoncé sent the world into breakdown last week when she dropped her visual album ‘Lemonade’.
She’s since been breaking records with Lemonade as every single track on the album charted in the US Top 100 charts.
The ‘Single Ladies’ singer is the first female to have more than 12 tracks in the top 100 at the same time. Beyoncé broke fellow superstar, Taylor Swift’s record of 11 songs.
However it seems there’s are a few people who ain’t too happy with Queen Bey, as they are accusing her stealing the idea for her ‘Hold Up’ video.
The visuals for the ‘Hold Up’ show Beyonce dressed in a mustard dress, calming walking through the street while smashing up a whole load of stuff with a baseball bat. People have drawn similarities between Beyonce’s video and that of Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist’s ‘Ever Is Over All’. Pipilott’s video from 1997 shows a woman wearing a blue dress, while… that’s right smashing up a whole load of stuff, but this time with a long stemmed flower.
