Adele drops the video for the first single off new album 25
After a week's worth of excitement, which began after she previewed a teaser of her new music in a TV advert on Sunday, Adele has finally released the first single from her much-anticipated third album, 25.
The video for her new single, Hello (which was the song teased on Sunday night) dropped last night. The beautiful, six minute-long black and white video was shot by Xavier Dolan and was filmed just outside of Montreal.
Dolan said that shooting was a great experience. "Being on set with her was wonderful. And the thought of directing her in the 'acting' aspect of the term was exciting. I discovered that she's a very talented actress - no matter what she'll tell you", he says. "Adele allowed me to dive into this full throttle," he added. "I could abandon myself artistically and emotionally, like she always does.
Earlier this week Adele apologised on Twitter for her third album taking so long and said "I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened". The single Hello is available to buy now, with album 25 set for release on Friday 20 November.
