Adele and Beyonce dominate MTV VMA nominations, Nick Jonas not happy
But no love for Nick Jonas or Taylor Swift.
Who run the world? GIRLS! The MTV VMA nominations were announced last night, with Adele and Beyonce absolutely dominating them.
Beyonce’s bagged 11 nominations including Best Female Video and Video of the Year. While Adele’s earned 8 nods in 8 categories including Best Female Video, Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.
Adele’s ‘Hello’ and Beyonce’s ‘Formation’ are up against Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’, Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ and Kanye West’s controversial ‘Famous’ for Best Video of the Year.
Best Male Video is between Drake, Bryson Tiller, Calvin Harris, Kanye West and The Weeknd. While hoping to scoop Best Female Video are Adele, Beyonce, Sia, Ariana Grande and Rihanna.
However one person’s who’s not happy about the nominations is Nick Jonas. He took to twitter to say: ‘Disappointed with the face Close got no love for the #VMAs2016’.
Despite picking up six gongs last year, Taylor Swift didn’t get any nominations this year and some people on twitter seemed pretty happy about it…
This year’s MTV VMAs will take place in New York on 28th August.
