Frank Ocean – Boys Don’t Cry

The follow-up to Frank Ocean’s 2012 debut ‘Channel Orange’ is hotly anticipated. With the album’s title ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ confirmed and a rumoured release date back in July 2015 – surely 2016 is the year for some brand new Frank Ocean. Fingers crossed! because these boys and girls are close to crying if ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ doesn’t drop soon.

Wiz Khalifa – Rolling Papers 2

In a recent vid posted online, Wiz confirmed that the follow-up to 2011 ‘Rolling Papers’ will be released in late 2016. In January 2016, he will release ‘Project Khalifa’ so expect to hear a whole lot more Wiz Khalifa next year.

Lady Gaga

Reports are flying around that Gaga has been hard at work on a new album, which is set to be released next year. Lily Allen let it slip that Gaga has been working with super producer Mark Ronson. Which has left us with the feeling Gaga is going to get us dancing in 2016.

50 Cent – Street King Immortal

Release dates for 50 Cent’s album ‘Street King Immortal’ have been reported as early as 2011, another followed in 2012, 2013, 2014 and yup 2015 too. Apparently fifty and his record label can’t quite agree on the promo and release of the album. Though we are hoping they’ve have made up now, as now it’s reported the album will be released in 2016.

Kanye West – Swish

Kanye’s ‘Swish’ was supposed to be released in 2015 but is now due to drop next year. Though some rather angry tweets from Kanye this month would suggest the album isn’t quite done yet. On 13th December, Kanye tweeted ‘no offense to anyone… I’m asking everyone DON’T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I’M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM.’

Beyonce

We never quite know what Queen Bey is up to. Tending to keep her music releases top secret until the last minute. Though last month, Sia let is slip that Beyonce is back in the studio working on something. Hyping up rumours that Queen Bey may release some new music in 2016.

Iggy Azalea – Digital Distortion

We’ve known the name of Iggy’s second album ‘Digital Distoriation’ for a while now. But there’s no release date confirmed, though this week she released the album artwork and during a twitter Q&A Iggy confirmed she’s finished recording the album. In the Q&A she also named some tracks on the album as ‘Zillion’ ‘Elephant’ & ‘Team’. Plus she promised we’d hear some buzz songs in January and hinted that album will be released in April.
