It's been a long time coming, but we're actually only a couple of month away from the release of Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King. Yes, the original 1994 animated film is literally everyone's favourite ever Disney film, but bosses at the firm have decided that a live-action remake is necessary.

Although many Disney fans were sceptical about the remake, this trailer is pretty much guaranteed to turn heads and opinions as it just looks so blimmin' amazing. Watch it here:

The trailer gives us the first glimpse of Simba's evil uncle Scar, voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor who is famous for films such as 12 Years a Slave, Doctor Strange and The Martian. Oh, and don't forget his starring role in Love Actually.

We also get to hear more from James Earl Jones, who is reprising his role as Mufasa from the original film - and we're treated to the live-action version of THAT moment from 'Hakuna Matata' where Simba grows up whilst walking over the bridge with Timon and Pumbaa.

There's even a short clip of Billy Eichner's Timon and Seth Rogen's Pumbaa singing 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' - a part of the film we're sure everyone is desperate to see!

Although we've still not heard anything from Donald Glover's Simba or Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's Nala - the two parts fans are dying to hear from - we at least got to see a bit more of the beautiful animation of the film.

Plus, if this trailer is anything to go by, fans can rest easy knowing that we'll get to hear more of the songs and soundtrack from the original film. Despite the fact that there's not much singing aside from 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', the original film's iconic score can be heard.

The Lion King is set to be released on 19th July 2019.
