Years & Years open up about when they met Rihanna and lost their cool

Years & Years revealed that it was a big moment for them when frontman Olly Alexander was able to meet global pop superstar Rihanna last month. He couldn't contain himself whilst meeting his idol, and even got a fantastic photo with the singer for his Instagram.
He, along with his bandmates Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Türkmen have now opened up about the meeting, and spoke to our team about how it was meeting Rihanna last month - something that they were VERY excited about.
Olly said, "She had an aura," before going on to describe her as "invincible and just so glamorous".
He added, "Our dressing room was right next to hers and when I saw the name on the door, I couldn't believe it!" even joking with his fellow bandmates Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Türkmen that she might even have someone to open the door for her as she's so famous, with Emre joking, "Little known fact, Rihanna is a germophobe!"

Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Türkmen, better known as Years & Years, have had a number of Top 10 singles including ‘King’ and ‘Shine’ since they burst onto the pop music scene in 2010.
This year alone, Years & Years have released two singles including their latest one, ‘If You're Over Me', which peaked at Number 6 in the UK charts. The London-based band also dropped their latest album 'Palo Santo' earlier this month and the limited edition box set also came with a gift of temporary tattoos.
