The Weeknd has revealed his signature dreadlocks that he cut off recently are now kept in his manager’s safe.
Yup really... The Weeknd has been chatting to The Guardian, explaining he got rid of the dreads as it was getting difficult to sleep and he missed being able to wear hats. The singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, recalls ‘I think I felt a single tear come down my cheek’ when the locks came off during the shooting of his ‘Starboy’ video. The video tells the story of The Weeknd destroying the old version of himself, smashing up trophies and photos.
The Weeknd’s album ‘Starboy’ is the third biggest selling album of 2016, behind Drake’s ‘Views’ and Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’.
