It was a scary moment for Britney Spears during her show in Las Vegas last night when a man made his way onto the stage before being tackled by security.

Britney was performing her hit track 'Crazy' during her Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood when a man attempted to somersault towards Britney and her dancers.

Visibly shaken, Britney can be heard asking her security guard, "Is everything okay, what's going on?" and was then heard saying "He's got a gun?".

American entertainment site TMZ are reporting that the man in question was acting in a 'disorderly manner' during Britney's show and attempted to leap onto the stage after he was asked to leave the venue.

Police later arrested and named the man as 37-year-old Jesse Webb.

Just before the show, Britney took to Instagram to express her excitement at being back in Vegas to perform. Sharing a snap of herself on stage she wrote, Missed being on stage... ready for Vegas tonight! I'm sooooo excited to see you all!!! 🎀🎀😉😉😉'. sic

Britney first debuted her mammoth 'Piece Of Me' residency in Vegas back in 2013, since then the show has reportedly generated over $100 million in ticket sales alone!

The 35-year-old performs some of her biggest hits (old and new) at the show, including 'Crazy', 'Hit Me Baby One More Time', 'Womanizer' and 'Gimme More'.

Her residency is set to come to an end in December 2017.
