Tom Daley's partner tells Sam Smith 'it may be time to stop texting my fiancé'
Dustin Lance Black expressed his anger in a tweet.
Sam Smith was on top of the world after winning ‘Best Original Song’ at the Oscars, but after mistakenly claiming he was the first openly gay man to win the prestigious gong, Dustin Lance Black hit out at the singer in a Tweet.
After winning the award Sam said “I read an article a few months ago by Sir Ian McKellen and he said no openly gay man had won an Oscar. If this is the case, I want to dedicate this to the LGBT community around the world.”

Dustin, who is famously engaged to Olympic diver Tom Daley, won an Oscar back in 2009 for ‘Best Original Screenplay’ and it seems he wasn’t too happy with Sam’s statement.
Dustin seemed to have a pop at the 'Writings On The Wall’ singer by writing 'If you have no idea who I am, it may be time to stop texting my fiancé.
Along with the tweet, Dustin also shared a video of his own speech to prove to Sam he wasn’t the first.
Dustin and Tom began dating back in 2013, with Tom expressing his sexuality later in the year during a heartfelt YouTube video. The pair then announced their engagement in 2015 in the traditional form of a notice in the newspaper.
Sam is yet to respond to the tweet.
