After spending the first half of the year out of the spotlight, Taylor Swift came back with a bang. The second half of the year has been more than fruitful with a new album titled Reputation, a UK tour, and now a cover and 12-page spread on British Vogue.

The 27-year-old multi-award winner shocked with a bold dark lip and a smokey eye. Enninful commented Taylor says "she has never seen herself transformed like this before, and I was very touched to see how emotional she was at the end of our shoot day in London.”

Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the pair were also behind the photos for her latest album.

Taylor wrote on her Instagram account. “Mert and Marcus took these photos for @britishvogue and my album photos for reputation, and it’s been such a bonding experience working together so closely and talking so much about what we wanted to make. It’s been a while since I’ve done a magazine cover. I’m really happy my first one back was with such wonderful people.”

Edward Enninful, who has taken over as Editor-in-Chief commented on Swifts unconventional spread saying, "Obviously she is a world-class lyricist – and has written a stunning poem just for Vogue on the timely subject of reinvention and moving on."

It seems that Taylor herself has teased some lines from this poem on her Instagram page.

The cover follows the release of Swift’s sixth studio album, Reputation which has topped charts in over 10 countries so far.
