Former Liverpool and England footballer Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex are going to become grandparents for the first time later this year, as their eldest daughter Lilly has announced she's pregnant.
20-year-old Lilly took to social media to announce the lovely news, tagging her boyfriend Lee Byrne in the post. Sharing a photo of a pregnancy journal, two positive pregnancy tests, and some tiny baby shoes, Lilly wrote: 'Our little secret 💙🩷 the best news, mini us is on the way @leebyrne8 👶🏼'. (sic)
Steven, who is now manager of Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq FC, was quick to comment on the photo, writing: 'We cant wait ❤️❤️ great news and congratulations we love you 😘'. (sic)
Lily's mum Alex then wrote: 'Can’t wait ❤️❤️❤️❤️'. (sic)
Others also expressed their joy at the news. Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent wrote: '❤️ Congratulations Darling xx', with MAFS UK star Nikita Jasmine adding: 'Congratulations to you both'. Influencer Talia Storm also commented: 'Congratulations beauty ❤️❤️❤️❤️'.
Lilly is Steven and Alex's eldest child, having welcomed her into the world back in February 2004. The couple are also proud parents to eight-year-old Lio, 13-year-old Lourdes, and 18-year-old Lexie.
