Simon Cowell is engaged to Lauren Silverman

Congratulations are in order for music mogul Simon Cowell and his long-term girlfriend Lauren Silverman, as the pair are reportedly now engaged following Simon's proposal in Barbados.
After reports broke online a spokesperson for the former X Factor judge confirmed the lovely news to metro.co.uk, with a source also telling PEOPLE: "They are both super happy. They've been together a long time now and adore each other so it's not a huge surprise to their close friends."
Despite always admitting he didn't think he'd ever get married, 62-year-old Simon proposed to 44-year-old Lauren during a family trip to Barbados earlier this year, in front of Simon's son Eric, and Lauren's teenage son Adam.
Although there was controversary when their relationship first started, due to Lauren still being married to property developer Andrew Silverman, the couple went public in July 2013, when Lauren fell pregnant with Eric.

And it seems Simon has had a change of heart over his thoughts on marriage, as he said in 2008: "I don't believe in marriage, certainly not in this business.
"The truth is that you get married and in a year or two they clean you out! It's just not going to work."
