Twitter is officially loving the new social media friendship between Shawn Mendes and Chrissy Teigen — nothing says best friends forever like subtle shade right?
So how did this match in cyber heaven start?
A humble tweet from Chrissy to her followers to help her husband, John Legend, secure a spot on GQ's Most Stylish Man of 2017 list. Up against Mr Mendes, Chrissy sent the first piece of shade saying Shawn's teenage fan base will be the reason for Johns defeat.
She wrote: "For some reason, John really cares about this sh*t and being on any GQ list that exists. He thinks Shawn Mendes will win because of teenagers. Please be a part of his Christmas present this year."
Looks like Chrissy will be forking out for a gift because Shawn hit back with the ultimate shade.
WE knew, HE knew, John knew and Chrissy definitely knew what he was doing when he retweeted the tweet.
Shawn has yet to respond to his new found shady behaviour but fans seem to be impressed, even dubbing the new bffs king and queen of shade.
