Instagram is about to change the way your feed works and people aren’t happy about it.
Instead of showing you your daily dose of food snaps in Sepia in chronological order. The app is going to change it so an algorithm shows you pics in the order it thinks you want to see them, (aka most popular) similar to how Facebook currently works.
Instagram said in a statement ‘As Instagram has grown, it’s become harder to keep up with all the photos and videos people share. This means you often don’t see the posts you might care about the most.’
So when’s it going to change? Instagram have said ‘We’re going to take time to get this right and listen to your feedback along the way. You’ll see this new experience in the coming months.’
People were pretty angry about the news with #RIPInstagram trending on Insta and twitter.
