Pitch Perfect 3 will be directed by Elizabeth Banks
The third instalment of Pitch Perfect will be directed by actress Elizabeth Banks.
After the success of her directorial debut Pitch Perfect 2, Elizabeth Banks is back to direct the third instalment of the Pitch Perfect franchise.
Pitch Perfect 3 was confirmed to be going ahead back in June and it's just been announced that the Pitch Perfect actress, who plays ICCAs commentator Gail Abernathy-McKadden, will direct the film. Excitement about the news was spread across Twitter:
The writer of both Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, Kay Cannon, will be returning for the third instalment, and stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow have all signed on for the third movie too.
Pitch Perfect 3 will be released in the summer of 2017.
