One Direction's Liam Payne 'incredibly sad' after relationship breakdown
It's rumoured that they've split up after two years
It’s reported that One Direction’s Liam Payne has broken up with his girlfriend of two years, Sophia Smith.
It's thought he started dating the fashion business student in 2013 after meeting at school and is rumoured to be 'incredibly sad' and keeping himself busy after the breakup.
There didn't seem to be any signs as just weeks ago the singer admitted to Attitude magazine that they’d discussed getting married but were putting it off until they were older.
Last week the band cancelled a gig in Belfast because Liam was ill, with rumours saying he’d suffered a ‘meltdown’ as he apparenttly struggled to cope with the pressures of fame. It’s led some to wonder whether the relationship breakdown is linked with it.
Although there’s no confirmation from either of the two, Liam posted a cryptic message on Twitter suggesting that he's not been in the best of moods.
It seems to have been the year of breakups for the band, with Niall Horan splitting from Melissa Whitelaw in June, Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder called an end to their four year relationship in March and ex-One Direction star Zayn Malik broke up with Little Mix's Perrie Edwards,
