'Dream As One' singer Miley Cyrus has recently been spotted wearing an engagement ring on the red carpet of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Although the singer didn't announce the news of her engagement on social media, she shared several photos showing the ring at the premiere, leading fans to congratulate her in the comments.
The singer has been with her fiancé Maxx Morando for around four years, so we thought we'd take a look at who the producer is, from how the pair met, to what they've worked on together, we have the answers...
How old is Maxx Morando?
Maxx is 27, he was born on 16th November 1998.
How did he become famous?
As well as being Miley's fiancé, Maxx is a singer, producer and songwriter. He is also a musician and is a drummer for rock band Liily. Before joining Liily he was part of the band The Regrettes.
How did Miley and Maxx meet?
Miley and Maxx have been together for around four years. The pair were first spotted together in late 2021, with the singer revealing in an interview in June 2023, with British Vogue, that they met two summers ago.
Miley said: "We got put on a blind date. Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave'."
As reported by British Vogue, Maxx called Miley during the interview and her phone played the track 'Tyrone' by Erykah Badu. Miley is said to have smiled and called it the 'boyfriend sexy ringtone.'
When did they get engaged?
It is not immediately clear when the couple got engaged, although it was confirmed in early December. Fans spotted Miley wearing an engagement ring in a photo she posted on social media, about her birthday. In the black and white photo she can be seen wearing a ring on her left hand.
The engagement news was confirmed by Maxx's dad on Threads, where he shared some photos, including a close-up of the ring, captioning it: 'Congratulations! ❤️ 💍🍾🎉 @mileycyrus @mmaxxm'.
Their first public event where fans got to see the ring was at the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles in early December.
Have the couple worked together?
Yes, the couple have worked together on Miley's most recent album 'Something Beautiful', released in May 2025. Maxx co-produced the album, with Miley telling Harpers Bazaar: "I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband met each other. I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much."
Previous to this the couple worked together on Miley's album 'Endless Summer Vacation', where he co-produced the album, along with co-writing the song 'Handstand', and playing instruments, including bass guitar, drums, keyboards, and synthesizer.
