In case you missed it Beyoncé turned 36 yesterday (4th September). Celebs across the globe including Adele, Zara Larssons, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars paid homeage to Queen Bey on her big day.
Beyoncé’s nearest and dearest celebrated the day as well. Hubby Jay-Z got the whole crowd at Made in America festival to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ during his headline slot in Philadelphia, as Beyoncé danced in the crowd.
While Bey’s mum Tina Knowles Lawson posted a heartfelt message on Instagram. Sharing a picture of her with her daughter, Tina wrote: ’36 years ago God chose me out of all the women in the world to be your mother. How blessed could I be? Not because you are super talented, smart business woman and one of the biggest superstars! It’s because you are the kindest, most generous, thoughtful, intuitive, loyal, humble, funny, grounded, grateful and loving human being. I am proud to be your mom. Happy Birthday Baby! I love you with my whole heart.’
Plus the women in Beyoncé’s life celebrated her 36th birthday by recreating one of her most iconic looks. Friends and family including Serena Williams, Blue Ivy, mother in law Gloria Carter, Michelle Obama and Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams dressed up as Beyoncé’s ‘Formation’ look complete with hat and braid ensemble.
