American rapper Megan Thee Stallion sizzled on stage at the American Music Awards last night (Sunday 22nd November), as she performed her epic single 'Body', but it wasn't the only talking point from her appearance.
The 'WAP' singer appeared on a pre-recorded voice over before her performance, where she gave the most inspiring speech about body positivity, and why her fans should love themselves as they are.
She said, "I love my body. Every curve, every inch. Every mark. Every dimple. It's decoration on my temple."
"My body is mine, and nobody owns it but me. And whoever I choose to let in is so lucky. You may not think my body is perfect, and it probably never will be. But when I look in the mirror, I love what I see. So are you ready?"
Unsurprisingly, after her performance fans were quick to express their love for both Megan's speech and performance, with many saying she 'stole the show'.
One fan wrote, 'THE ONLY THING THAT MADE ME SMILE TODAY WAS MEGAN THEE STALLION’S AMA PERFORMANCE', with another adding, 'killed it at the AMA’s she made me feel sexy through the screen idk how that’s possible but she did'. (sic)
A third added, 'the intro to @theestallion ama performance was everything! I love ME & I hope all of you ladies do too. We’re all bad b--ches in our own way. Confidence is key babies.' (sic)
Megan Thee Stallion, who dropped her debut album 'Good News' on the 20th November, was nominated for an incredible five awards at the 2020 American Music Awards, with the popular singer picking up 'Best rap/hip hop song' for her MASSIVE collab 'WAP' with Cardi B.
